An Immigrant’s Journey
Join us for a special event with a member of our community, Luis Alonzo Barkigia, who was born in Tijuana, Mexico and moved to the United States as a child. Luis will give a talk about his complex Mexican heritage, and his experience as an immigrant in the US and how it ties into the common experience most immigrants share. He will also talk about his experiences working at the Ukrainian Museum and the impressions the exhibitions he was involved with have had on him. This event will be conducted mostly in English with some parts in Spanish. The Museum invites the Hispanic community, as well as all others, to this event about the immigrant journey shared by so many. This event is free but registration on Eventbrite is required.
