On September 24th, the Museum is open till 9 pm for our Free Thursdays. Stop by to see current exhibitions, and at 7 pm we invite you to walk over to E 4th street to see Tisto Studio’s community performance as a part of FABnyc (Fourth Arts Block) Open Streets program.

A team of artists and organizers rooted in the Lower East Side, FABnyc has spent years preserving cultural vibrancy, centering immigrant histories, and building toward contemporary futures — partnering with groups like the New York Immigration Coalition to ensure that community archives and cultural life belong to everyone, including the newest New Yorkers. We join them in that spirit, and in solidarity.

The participants from Tisto describe the performance as “not a traditional play. It is a collective journey through belonging, voice, presence, displacement, connection, and the courage to be seen. Through movement, personal stories, live sound, and shared space, a group of real people invite you into an experience that lives somewhere between performance, ritual, and human encounter.”
